The Aim of the Chinese European Art Center is:

1. To bring contemporary European art to China ;
2. To be an artistic and cultural window to the European cultures;
3. To introduce Chinese art and culture to the Europeans;
4. To establish contacts and dialogues between Chinese and European artists;
5. To give information about the artistic situation in Europe;
6. To organize lectures about European art and music;
7. To organize International Artists Workshops;
8. To organize music performances concerts and master classes;
9. To have an Artist in Residence Program;
10. To introduce and establish a multi media section within the Art College of Xiamen University;
11. To work on art-students exchange;
12. To assist Chinese artists to exhibit in Europe ;
13. To build up a library and a collection of video tapes;
14. To arrange and assist with publication of (art) books.
